Newbie knitter, newbie blogger: Knitting blog... just the thing. I want to knit a shawl (started on it) and I want to learn to knit socks. Borrowed a book from library, "Getting Started Knitting Socks" by Ann Budd.
Beginning knitter again. Knit stuff for my kids when they were wee. Am grandma now knitting for grandkids and other loved ones, meself included and for the fun of knit ;-)
Am better at stashing beautiful yarns (and what beautiful yarns I have stashed - will post pics of some when I get around to it ;), than finishing up knitting projects. I’m not exactly wearing out my kneedles yet, but am collecting lots of fun patterns, books and ideas to knit up.
Love family and knitting for loved ones, and am glad that they are as patient as I am procrastinate ;)
I plan to do some charity knitting, i.e. for preemies, hats, booties, and burial gowns, ,etc. (experimented with a few hats already), and encourage all of you who are able, to do so too. My daughter lost her baby prematurely last Sept. and the hospital offered some lovely handmade items knit by caring individuals to support those experiencing a difficult loss such as ours, of knit clothing and a small quilted blanket, and I can’t say how much that meant to all of us as a family. I vowed at that time to return the kindness. :)
